Terry Crews earned a bachelor’s degree in building science from Auburn University 1981. Since 1993, Terry has been the Owner/Manager of Terry L. Crews Construction, Inc., a Destin, Florida-based residential construction firm. Prior to starting his own construction firm, Terry held several construction related positions throughout the Southeastern United States.

After graduation, Terry served as Office Engineer, Cost Engineer and Estimator for Transit Products, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia and his projects included Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit. His next post was as Assistant Project Manager for Central Contractors, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida followed by two years as Project Manager with The Metro Companies in the same area. Here Terry honed his business and project management skills focusing on budgets, working with subcontractors, permitting and the day-to-day scheduling of job-site progress.

In 1986, Terry advanced to the position of Construction Manager and then Vice President of Post Florida, a construction firm renown for exceptional construction practices. In 1991, Terry relocated to Birmingham, Alabama and joined Institutional Equipment Corporation as Operations Manager.
